Looking back on a successful Achema 2015

Achema 2015

Every three years, Achema – the world’s largest trade fair in the process and packaging technology in the pharma industry – attracts numerous visitors and exhibitors. This year’s Achema, which took place from June 15 to 19, by the numbers: 166,000 visitors from more than 100 countries and 3,813 exhibitors with booths that together covered about 133,000 square meters.


At its booth, which covered more than 1,000 square meters, Bosch Packaging Technology presented a wide range of machines, complete lines, services, and new approaches to connected industry. In total, Bosch launched eleven machines for the production, filling and packaging of solid and liquid pharmaceuticals. The focus of this year’s trade show presentation was put on line competence: Depending on therapeutic area and dosage form, Bosch offers lines that are tailored exactly to customer requirements, with ideally aligned machines and systems.


With a combination of exhibits and multimedia presentations, Bosch was able to reach a large audience. “From our side Achema was a great success,” concludes Marcus Behrens, General Manager of the Bosch subsidiary Manesty. “We launched our new TPR 200 and TPR 700 tablet presses. The interest in this new technology was clear to see: numerous visitors filled our stand during the whole week.”


The customers also showed great interest in the machines of the Bosch subsidiary Moeller & Devicon. “Our portfolio was received very well by customers,” says Michael Andersen, sales director at Moeller & Devicon. Above all, the exhibited machine MRA aroused the customer’s interest: “Customers and visitors from all over the world were enthusiastic about the simplicity and small footprint of our fully automatic assembly machine for insulin pens.”


A further highlight at the Bosch booth was the software for packaging machines – a component towards Connected Packaging Industry (CPI). According to product manager Daniel Sanwald, customers appreciate the fact that Bosch offers complete systems consisting of Track & Trace modules and IT solutions. “The product launch was very successful. Monday through Friday, we were engaged in conversation with customers all day long. The great interest has shown that the direction – Bosch Packaging Technology offers software in the packaging sector – is the right way!”, summarizes Daniel Sanwald the trade fair participation.
