Double success for Bosch Packaging Technology

Two machines from the pharmaceutical division of Bosch Packaging Technology have been honored with the Medicine Maker Innovation Award this year. Both the new AFG 5000 powder filling machine and the KLV 1360 inspection machine for leak detection of glass containers received the popular award. On behalf of the British journal The Medicine Maker, an expert jury selects the most exciting new technologies and solutions in the pharmaceutical industry each year.

KLV 1360

Successful launch of the AFG 5000

The AFG 5000 was just recently launched as part of a customer event in Crailsheim, Germany, in September. With resounding success: the first machines have already been sold. “Additionally being honored with the Innovation Award makes the launch of the AFG perfect,” says product manager Dieter Bandtel. The machine is designed for the sterile filling of pharmaceutical powders in vials and features an especially high degree of flexibility. Based on a single machine platform, the system can accurately fill both large and small amounts of powders.

The second award went to the KLV 1360, which completes the inspection portfolio from Bosch since its launch at interpack 2017. In addition to solutions for high-voltage leak detection and laser-based headspace analysis, Bosch now also offers vacuum leak detection for rigid glass containers. Customers now always receive the ideal inspection solution for their liquid or lyophilized pharmaceuticals, and are prepared for all regulatory requirements.
